About the book:
Since he was Little, Gregory, the elephant dreamed of flying.
To his surprise, one afternoon, he heard a bird say:
“I will finish my house the day the elephants can fly”
Gregory thought that if he helped the bird, he could do something good and also he would be able to fly.
So he helped the bird, but he couldn´t fly.
Then he saw a fox that mumbled:
“When elephants fly I´ll be able to cross the river”.
Gregory thought he could help the fox, and that maybe then he could also fly.
So he helped him, but he couldn´t fly.
On his way he heard many animals say they would accomplish their wishes the day the elephants could fly.
So Gregory helped a rabbit pick leaves and fruits,
A bear to bottle honey,
A giraffe to build it´s bed,
A Piggy to carry corn,
A lion to dry his hair,
A Rhinoceros to paint his horn
But in the end, he couldn´t fly.
Gregory was happy to help the animals, but sad because he couldn´t fly.
That afternoon, the bird that Gregory helped heard him say:
“I hope someday I can fly”
So the bird flew with the message.
¿What would the animals do with that information?
And finally, the elephant could fly.
