Ilustradora, dibujante y animadora. Mi nombre es Silvia, seudónimo Burbuja. Egresada de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de La Plata, en Diseño en Comunicación Visual. También estudié Realización de Dibujos Animados. Durante años me desempeñé como diseñadora editorial. Desde el 2010 mi actividad pasó a fusionarse con animación además de ilustración para diversos proyectos. A lo largo de una década fui parte del equipo de producción de la revista de arte, diseño y comunicación Crann. La maqueta del proyecto editorial “Güilli y Guan” realizado en coautoría con mi hermana Laura, de poesía ilustrada, fue seleccionada por A|D|A (Asociación de Dibujantes de Argentina) para participar en La Feria del Libro Infantil de Bologna/2021. Mi primera animación como realizadora independiente fue: el videoclip musical La Escuela del Error, para la banda La FreiZa, obtuvo el premio “Mejor Audiovisual 2016” por parte de A|D|A y selección oficial Festival REC 2017. Durante ese año fui parte del proyecto Muros de Amor Locura y Muerte, en homenaje a la obra del escritor Horacio Quiroga. Seleccionado por “Plataforma FUTURO/ Ministerio Cultura/ Presidencia de la Nación”. En el cual pude experimentar con animación, dibujo en vivo e ilustración.
Actualmente trabajo como freelance.
I’m an Argentinian illustrator, and animator. My name is Silvia, aka Burbuja. I graduated as a Designer in Visual Communication, at Art College, La Plata National University. Then I studied to become an animation cartoon maker. My professional path started by working as a graphic designer. As soon as I had the opportunity, I got started in 2D animation. I’ve been an enthusiastic reader since I was a little girl. I find it appealing to work on books and editorial projects as an illustrator. For 10 years I was part of the production staff of Crann, a magazine focused on design, art and communication. In 2020 the editorial project that I shared with my sister Laura Abian,”Güilli & Guan, Narrated Illustrations”was selected by the A|D|A (Argentinian Association of Illustrators) to participate in the 2020 Bologna Children’s Books Fair. My first project as an independent animator was La Escuela del Error (The School of Error), a videoclip for the indie group La FreiZa. It was awarded the “Best 2016 Animated Videoclip” by the A|D|A (Argentinian Association of Illustrators) and Official Selection in the 2017 REC Festival. In the same year I was able to try out live drawing, animation, and illustration thanks to the audiovisual project Walls of Love, Craziness and Death in homage to the work of the writer Horacio Quiroga, which was given the “Plataforma FUTURO/ Ministerio Cultura/ Presidencia de la Nación Award”.
Currently I am working as a freelance professional.
