Soy Ani Testone y dibujar fue siempre lo que dio sentido a mi existencia, a través de los lápices primero pude plasmar mis observaciones infantiles de lo que veía o sentía. Hoy dedico las horas de mis días a llevar al papel mis sentimientos más profundos, mis ideas más recurrentes y la visión que hoy tengo de la naturaleza, el ser humano, el universo y toda la fuerza que juntos manifiestan. Comparto esa fuerza con mis alumnos de escuelas y talleres, con la intención de abrir la perspectiva de su propia visión. Elijo la acuarela como técnica porque me gusta pensar que el agua fluye y que junto con el pigmento siguen su camino y arman el recorrido que juntos deciden emprender, más allá de mis propios deseos, con el agua me dejo llevar con libertad.
He trabajado en distintos proyectos editoriales para Argentina, como libros para editoriales como Longseller, Sigmar, Uranito, Bonum, Revista PM y editoriales extranjeras. Fui convocada por Kinder Musicals de Suiza para realizar el diseño de Heidi para musicales locales. Actualmente trabajo en mis proyectos personales y en mis propios productos ilustrados.
My name is Ani Testone and drawing has always been what gave meaning to my life, it was through pencils at first that I was able, as a child, to express my observations of what I saw or felt. Today, I devote the hours of my day to turn to paper my deepest feelings, my most recurrent thoughts and the concept of nature, human beings, the universe and all the strength that they convey together. I share this strength with my students from high-schools and workshops, with the intention of helping them expand their own vision. The technique I choose is watercolors because I like to stick to the idea that water flows and that, together with the pigment, they both follow their own way, creating the paths to be taken, beyond their own desires. Just like the water does, I let myself go with freedom.
I’ve worked on several editorial projects for Argentina, such as books for different publishing houses like Longseller, Sigmar, Uranito, Bonum, Revista PM and foreign publishing companies as well. I was summoned by Kinder Musicals from Switzerland to give life to a new version of ‘Heidi’. Nowadays, I am working on my personal projects which soon will have a life of their own.
