Mi nombre es karina zabala glocker, nací una mañana fria de agosto en Vicente lópez.

De chica siempre me gustó dibujar, sobre la pared, el piso y el papel. También construía casitas.

Estudié Bellas Artes y luego realicé la licenciatura en Artes Visuales, especialidad Pintura. Al terminar con mi carrera comencé a trabajar en la industría del cine como vestuarista y escenografa. Fueron trece años donde aprendí muchísimo y también pude aplicar mis conocimientos artísticos.

También participé de numerosos concursos, obtuve becas y residencias artísticas que permitieron ampliar mi campo interdisciplinario de conocimientos. 

Continué mi formación en ilustración en  diferentes talleres y seminarios teoricos y practicos. Fui conociendo el mundo ilustrado con Claudia Leganzzi, Estrellita Caracol y Mónica Weiss.

Obtuve una beca del FNA donde pude explorar mi práctica artistica e incorparar el dibujo a las instalaciones y los videos. 

Me interesa seguir explorando diferentes campos como fotografía, grabado y técnicas experimentales para enriquecer mis ilustraciones y dibujos. 

Actualmente realizo storyboard para publicidad y cine, doy clases de artes visuales en mi estudio y  trabajo en mis proyectos personales.

I studied Fine Arts and then I did a degree in Visual Arts, specializing in Painting. At the end of my career I began to work in the film industry as a costume designer and set designer. It was thirteen years where I learned a lot and I was also able to apply my artistic knowledge.

I also participated in numerous competitions, obtained scholarships and artistic residencies that allowed me to expand my interdisciplinary field of knowledge.

I continued my training in illustration in different workshops and theoretical and practical seminars. I got to know the illustrated world with Claudia Leganzzi, Estrellita Caracol and Mónica Weiss.

I obtained a grant from the FNA where I was able to explore my artistic practice and incorporate drawing into installations and videos.

I am interested in continuing to explore different fields such as photography, printmaking and experimental techniques to enrich my illustrations and drawings.

Currently I do storyboard for advertising and film, I teach visual arts in my studio and work on my personal projects.
